Look, if you’re really serious about building a wind generator, here’s the first thing you need to do. Get online and find a good design that makes sense and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. They’re out there. There are several guys who have already done the legwork and made the mistakes for you. I even found a website where the guy used PVC pipes. Talk about cheap! And it works great. I live in New Mexico and we get some wind, friend. So I’m saving some money. The only thing is, I don’t know if I’ll get in trouble for doing this. I mean, the big power companies hate competition, you know? Maybe they’ll come knocking on my door someday. But I’ll be saving some dough till they get here.
