    An Amazing Young Woman

    When I was in high school, I met an amazing young woman. She had a disease that made her skin so fragile that even the slightest bump caused her agony. She had to wrap her entire body in bandages and was constantly in pain, but in spite of this I never saw her without a smile on her face. I would never have known that she was hurting if she hadn’t told me. One thing that was especially hard for her was climbing stairs, because her feet were always sore. Luckily, the home that she lives in now has a pneumatic elevator. It really takes the pressure off of her feet.
