Kids do the Darndest Things

When my son was four, he fell off his trike and landed on something. I thought it was just bruised and scraped because I couldn’t see anything in there and I had cleaned the wound thoroughly. A few days later, I had to take him to the doctor because he just wasn’t healing like he should. The doctor made a small incision and used a tool called a rigid endoscope which was a fiber optic tube with a camera into his arm. It seems that there was a thorn that embedded itself into the bone and had bruised his bone. Had I not taken him to the doctor when I did, he could have ended up with a bone infection.
